PROGRAMME FOR NEUROLOGY AND NEUROSURGERY
Until a few years ago, diseases of the central nervous system were virtually inaccessible to most patients and/or their families. This was true regardless of whether surgical intervention was necessary or not and whether the treatment was palliative in nature, aimed at prolonging a socially valuable life and improving quality of life.
The development of medical science, technology and human resources in the Cuban healthcare system in recent years has created a completely new reality.
